Black Silicon Carbide Macro Grits are designed for cutting and grinding brittle non-metallic materials such as glass, ceramics, stone, and refractory materials. They are also ideal for grinding cast iron and various non-ferrous metal parts, offering exceptional hardness and cutting performance for demanding industrial applications.
Silicon carbide grit is available in two types: grit sand and segment sand. These are classified by mesh size, ranging from 8# to 320#. The higher the number, the finer the grit. Grit above 320# is referred to as silicon carbide micropowder. Available in green and black, silicon carbide grit is an ideal abrasive, widely used in industries like grinding wheels and cutting discs.
Segment sand comes in sizes such as 0-1mm, 1-3mm, etc. Its sharp edges form during crushing, enhancing its grinding ability. Known for its high hardness, density, and self-sharpening properties, it is used in high-end silicon carbide products like thin plates and custom-shaped parts.
F grit: Produced by ball mills or Barmac machines, with high density and strength, ideal for bonded abrasives like ceramic grinding wheels and resin wheels.
P grit: Manufactured with crushers, P grit has sharp edges and self-sharpening abilities, commonly used in coated abrasives like sanding belts and sandpaper.
Superior performance in processing hard materials like metals, ceramics, and stones.
Improves the stability and durability of the product under thermal stress..
Reduces the risk of cracks and deformation in high-temperature environments.
Long-lasting performance in abrasive applications such as blasting and surface finishing.
