Brown Aluminum Oxide(BFA) is fused in an electric arc furnace at high temperature and produces a high strength, tough, and extremely durable grain. Brown aluminum oxide is a medium to high density product which is available in standard grades or can be custom graded for your application.
Brown Aluminum Oxide Macrogrits are used in all types of bonded and coated abrasive applications for ferrous and normal alloy steels. It is also used in a myriad of refractory and general industrial applications such as ceramics, refractories, polishing, and abrasive applications.
Brown Fused Alumina is made from high quality bauxite by fusing in an electric arc furnace at high temperature. It has good toughness and high hardness. It is suitable for manufacturing of Vitrified and Resin Bonded Abrasives, Coated Abrasives, for lapping, Polishing and Sandblasting.
The abrasive tools made of brown aluminum oxide are suitable for grinding carbon steel, normal alloy steel, malleable cast iron and hard bronze etc.
Brown Fused Alumina for Abrasives can be divided into two kinds:
(1) For bonded Abrasives:BFA-01 (with Medium Density)and BFA-02 (with High Density);
(2) For Coated Abrasives:
We can also produce medium (1050C) and high (1350C) tempreture calcined Brown Fused Alumina and Coated BFA.
Brown corundum is mainly used in refractory materials, grinding wheels, and sandblasting.
Used to manufacture high-grade refractory materials, castables, refractory bricks, etc.
Sandblasting - BFA is an ideal "environmentally friendly" sandblasting material and is widely used in aluminum profiles, copper profiles, glass, and washed denim. Precision molds and other fields;
Free grinding - grinding grade abrasives, used in free grinding of picture tubes, optical glass, monocrystalline silicon, lenses, watch glass, crystal glass, jade and other fields
Resin abrasives - the abrasives have suitable color, good hardness, toughness, suitable for particle cross-section type and edge retention and used as ideal resin abrasives
Coated abrasives - abrasives are raw materials produced by sandpaper, gauze and other manufacturers;
Functional filler - mainly used in automobile brake parts, special tires, special construction products, etc., and can be used as wear-resistant materials in the construction of highway pavements, airport runways, docks, parking lots, industrial floors, sports venues, etc.;
Hydraulic cutting - used as abrasives as cutting media and relies on high-pressure water jets for basic cutting.
